How do payouts work for paid tickets?
Ticket revenue is settled to your mobile money or bank account weekly, less a 5% platform fee. (Live payments are rolling out — the current checkout is a demo.)
Can I run a free event on the Free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes one active listing with entry codes and door check-in — perfect for a meetup or church event.
What does "featured" mean?
Featured events get an orange pin on the map, a slot on the homepage and the top of category pages. Pro organisers can feature any event.
How do I get verified?
Request verification from your organiser profile. We check PACRA registration or an established social presence and add the badge within two business days.

About Whats Cutting
Whats Cutting started with a simple question Zambians ask every weekend: “So… what's cutting?” We built one place to answer it — a live map of everything happening in Lusaka, the Copperbelt, Livingstone and every town in between.
For attendees, it's free: discover events, register in seconds, get a QR ticket and follow the communities you love. For organisers, it's the easiest way to reach people who are actively looking for something to do — with ticketing, check-in and analytics built in.

Privacy policy

What we collect. Your name, email, phone number (for mobile-money payments), city, interests, and the events you register for, save or review. If you enable location, we use it only on your device to sort events by distance — it's never sent to our servers.
How we use it. To issue tickets, notify you about events you've registered for or communities you've joined, answer enquiries, and recommend events. Organisers see the names and contact details of people registered for their events only.
Email. We send transactional emails (welcome, ticket confirmations, enquiry replies) from website@whatscutting.com. No marketing without opt-in.
Your rights. Export or delete your data anytime from your dashboard → Profile. Questions: info@whatscutting.com.

Accounts. You must be 16+ to create an account. Keep your password safe; you're responsible for activity on your account.
Events & tickets. Organisers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for delivering the event. Entry codes are personal and may be checked at the door. Refunds for cancelled events are handled by the organiser; Whats Cutting will notify affected attendees.
Organiser plans. Plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled anytime; downgrades move excess listings to drafts. A 5% platform fee applies to paid tickets once live payments launch.
Conduct. No illegal, hateful or misleading listings. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
